Student AI Engineer

On-site
  • Den Haag, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands
€2,200 - €2,500 per month

Job description

At Birds.ai, we turn visual inspections into Insights for customers to manage their assets and infrastructure in a sustainable way. To achieve that, we automatically analyze images of visual inspections to identify objects, anomalies, and defects using our in-house developed platform. We are looking for a Student Machine Learning Engineer to build software that does this fully automatically.

We are a small team and thus your work will have a huge impact on the technology we use and build to provide customers with valuable solutions! Some of the challenges we work on:

  • Counting the number of bottles on packaging lines.

  • Estimating the quality of steel flatness.

  • Predicting the lifetime of strawberries.

The Birds.ai team is at our office for at least two days in The Hague Tech (Den Haag). For this position you can expect a monthly gross remuneration of € 2.200 - € 2.500 based on full-time employment (40 hours).

Your Mission:

  • Use Machine Learning and Computer Vision to perform anomalies checks, generate functional statistics, monitor business processes in videos.

  • Build AI that can easily be scaled to different business cases (for example: energy, infrastructure, and agriculture).

  • Turn Artificial Intelligence into tools that will give proactive advice.

Job requirements

You...

  • experience with a machine learning framework (e.g. Caffe, Torch, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • have worked on at least one project related to computer vision/image processing.
  • are an excellent project planner: you can take a long-term goal and break it up into achievable steps.
  • have an enterprising mindset and can solve challenges independently.
  • have developed and deployed trained Artificial Intelligence models (show or tell us what you did!).
  • have worked with a team (you know Scrum and can't live without version control).
  • have a working permit in the EU/Netherlands.

A big plus is...

  • web development experience.
